Gillian Jonker
Gillian Jonker, originally from Tipperary, has been living and working in Limerick since 2004. She has completed several courses in painting and drawing over the years, focusing mainly on figurative and portrait painting and life drawing.
With a background in architecture, her work is a study of structure, proportion and form, capturing the balance of light and shade. Her work is inspired by pop art, using acrylics in a limited palette to create a modern, graphic painting style.
